Acceptable Use Policy

Effective and last updated: July 27, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) explains the rules for using the Closer Singles website, applications, messaging, profiles, and related services (collectively, “Closer”). This AUP applies to every visitor and member. By accessing or using Closer, you agree to follow it.

Closer is an adults-only dating service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding agreement to create an account or use member features.

1. Age and identity requirements

2. Illegal acts and dangerous activity

You may not use Closer to commit, promote, request, plan, facilitate, conceal, or encourage any unlawful act. This includes trafficking, exploitation, violence, stalking, extortion, theft, fraud, money laundering, illegal drug or weapons transactions, or attempts to obtain another person’s private information unlawfully.

You also may not use Closer to threaten imminent harm, recruit others for criminal activity, evade law enforcement, or distribute instructions or materials intended to enable serious wrongdoing.

3. Child sexual exploitation and abuse

Closer has zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation or abuse. The following are strictly prohibited:

We may remove content, preserve relevant evidence, terminate accounts, and report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s CyberTipline and appropriate law-enforcement authorities, as required or permitted by law.

4. Sexual content and sexual misconduct

Closer is a dating service, not a pornography, escort, or commercial-sex platform. You may not post or send:

5. Consent and intimate privacy

6. Human trafficking and exploitation

You may not recruit, advertise, transport, harbor, control, coerce, deceive, buy, sell, or exploit any person for labor, services, or commercial sex. Prohibited conduct includes sex trafficking, forced labor, debt bondage, confiscating identity documents, recruiting through false romantic or employment promises, or arranging commercial sexual activity involving any person. Any commercial sexual activity involving a minor is prohibited regardless of purported consent.

7. Fraud, scams, and deceptive behavior

8. Harassment, violence, and hateful conduct

9. Platform integrity and security

10. Reporting concerns

Use the report or block controls inside Closer whenever available. You may also report a safety or policy concern to safety@closersingles.com. Include the member’s profile name or account information and a clear description, but do not email illegal sexual imagery or CSAM.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Suspected online child sexual exploitation may also be reported directly through the NCMEC CyberTipline.

11. Enforcement

Closer may investigate suspected violations and take action proportionate to the risk and available information. Actions may include warnings, content removal, feature restrictions, verification requests, payment or account holds, suspension, permanent account termination, device or payment blocking, preservation of records, and reports to payment providers, safety organizations, or law enforcement.

Serious violations—including suspected exploitation of a child, human trafficking, credible threats, sexual violence, non-consensual intimate content, or organized fraud—may result in immediate removal without prior notice. We may cooperate with lawful investigations and disclose information when required or permitted by law.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this AUP to address new risks, product changes, or legal requirements. The “last updated” date will show when revisions take effect. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Questions about this AUP may be sent to support@closersingles.com or through our Contact & Support page.

This policy is intended to establish platform rules and safety standards. It is not a substitute for legal advice, and Closer Dating LLC should have qualified counsel review it alongside its Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
